• A full Covid Risk Assessment has been carried out to demonstrate that we have looked at Covid-19 hazards within the business and have introduced controls in order to operate safely.
  • Staff daily temperature checks on arrival.
  • Full training of all employees working in a Covid safe workplace has been completed and will be ongoing.
  • Government guidelines now mean we will be wearing a face mask whilst serving you
  • Routine employee hand washing carried out at least every 30 minutes and regular sanitization and all employees have been retrained in the correct frequency and method for hand washing.
  • We are observing physical distancing where possible and using other mitigating procedures where not.
  • The restaurant & bar layout has been adapted to ensure physical distancing throughout.
  • We have reviewed our service procedure to ensure we maintain our normal friendly & high level of service, but we will visit tables less often, with individual members of staff allocated to your table where possible.
  • The number of employees on shift at any one time has been reduced to allow for physical distancing in the workplace.
  • Our menu range & opening hours have been reduced in order to allow us to operate with fewer staff.
  • Increased ventilation of inside areas by keeping windows & doors open where possible.
  • Enhanced cleaning regimes have been implemented, particularly for high contact points & surfaces, and in the toilet areas using chemicals which are effective against viruses.
  • All menus and napkins are single use, along with disposable condiments.
  • Our tables will be left clear for cleaning and sanitizing between uses and will not be laid until you are seated.
  • WE ARE NOW A NON SMOKING VENUE FOR STAFF & CUSTOMERS

Customer Requirements

We have worked hard to make our new way of working as smooth and safe as possible for our staff & customers. Here’s what we need you to do to support us and our new way of working.

  • Please refer to our fill Covid-19 policy before visiting The Fox & Hounds.
  • We ask guests not to visit our restaurant if they are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, however mild.
  • Please respect the guidance in our booking policy.
  • Face masks must be worn on entry and when not seated (unless exempt)
  • On arrival, please used hand sanitizer on entry and wash hands thoroughly and regularly during your visit.
  • On arrival please ‘Check In’ via the main front entrance.
  • We require details for track and trace purposes for all bookings, walk ins and drinkers.
  • We are now a non smoking venue. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on our premises & garden.
  • Please adhere to social distancing guidelines for the safety of our staff & other diners.
  • Customers with children are responsible for supervising them at all times, including the use of the toilets.
  • Dogs must be kept on leads.
  • We will provide table service for diners – please remain at your table wherever possible.
  • Please do not mix with tables outside of your reservation.
  • Please do not move tables once you have been seated.

As above but currently no reservations for drinkers only – will be on a walk-in basis if we have availability.

ADVISE CUSTOMERS WHEN BOOKING….

  • We have a reduced menu & opening hours (see below)
  • All customers must come to the front door to ‘check in’ – including drinkers & walk-ins
  • We cannot guarantee any table requests-these will be allocated on arrival
  • All customers must refer to our full Covid-19 Policy on the website before visiting
  • We are happy to take outside bookings but please call beforehand if the weather is not good and we will try to accommodate you inside if required
